The Kiwanis Aktion Club is hosting a Halloween Party at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25th at the Montgomery Legion at 330 Kent Street, Ottawa. At the Board of Directors meeting on April 18, 2011, and, as announced at our Annual General Meeting on April 28, 2011, it was decided, that effective July 1, 2011, the cost of Prepaid Luncheons will be increased from $28.00 to $31.00, simply to cover our cost. The cost of purchasing your meal At the Door will remain unchanged at $33.00.

When I began to prepare this speech I found it very difficult to figure out a way to start. Perhaps it was because I had so much to say – or perhaps because I knew that it meant then end of my year as your President. Or perhaps it was because I was lost for words….
But what I finally figured out was that I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you to each of you – and the others that couldn’t be with us today – for trusting me with this Club. For I have truly enjoyed this year from
