Kiwanis Music Festival Highlights Concert From, Gary Morton, Executive Director of the Kiwanis Music Festival
“Hi everyone, Well, I can not begin to express how thrilled I am at the results of the Highlights Concert. It was indeed the Best of the Best we have had so far. I was happy with the running time, backstage organization, theatrical presentation, scholarship presentations And the performances were spectacular. To be given the honour of presenting this concert every year is a very special privilege that I and all the Board of Directors genuinely cherish. I can't possibly thank everyone who contributed to this evening but I must single out one person. Marlene Morton, yeah that one, is an unbelievable contributor to my life. The Highlights Concert preparation time is a particularly stressful period for us both and I just don't contribute anything to our home life, so she carries all that as well. A truly amazing woman. 12th Annual “One Can Make A Difference” Charity Golf Tournament
The Kiwanis Club of Ottawa Inc. is pleased to present its 12th Annual “One Can Make A Difference” Charity Golf Tournament. The net proceeds will be distributed to support various deserving initiatives within the community - principally those that align themselves with our primary Kiwanis mission “Children – Priority One”. Location: Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, One Hunt Club Road, Ottawa Date: Monday, August 17, 2009 - 11:00am Registration, 11:00-12:30pm Lunch, 1:00pm Shotgun, Rain or Shine, Participants: Business leaders from the greater Ottawa community Activity: Registration, lunch on the patio, 18-holes of golf (shotgun start), four Par 3’s with $50,000 hole-in-one prizes and a $50,000 putting contest complete with cocktail party, dinner, awards, prizes, and silent auction. The Elections Council will meet on Tuesday, May 26th to count the Final Ballots at the Kiwanis office.

Pasta (Penne), in a “rosée” sauce is available for those who would rather leave the mussels to others The Hull Kiwanis Club celebrates ten years of partnership with the 'Maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie' in the organization of the 10th edition of the popular Mussels and Fries. The 'Maison' has just moved into a brand new home (a refurbished church) where 5 new beds (rooms) have been added. Renovations, as you can expect, were expensive and with this event, we hope to be able to give them $25,000. Can I count on your support ? An interclub would be Great !
