Weekly Meeting - New Member's Luncheon

The New Members are to be commended!! They completely occupied their allotted time of 1 1/2 hours and they did it with great enthusiasm and a lot of fun and laughter. The new members put on a fabulous show and the theme, “Kiwanis Club of Ottawa’s 125th Anniversary” was perfect! It was obvious that each member worked very hard and ‘President’ Doug Wilson ran a good meeting, even ending on time.

We thank Victor Hanna and the Chateau for their part in making the luncheon a success. Twin Belly Dancers! Good concept to match the cloning possibility in 2043. France and Francine Laplante from Mirage Dance Studios certainly lit up the room! and I think I even saw some gapped mouths!

James ‘Kirk’ham, vocalist/impersonator from Wolfe Island, was the grande finale and had us all in stitches with his fast paced show that kept all eyes glued (hoping he wouldn’t approach you!) This was the best !! MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!

Thought for the Week: If you can keep your head when all those around you are losing theirs, perhaps you don’t really understand the situation.
