Plus, all Legion of Honour Members were recognized for a total of 1,494 years of service to Kiwanis and to their community!! Your dedication is the backbone of our club, and it is this strength that has held our club together for 90 years! David also officially inducted 14 new members who joined our club in the past year. Yom Kippur To our Jewish members, who are celebrating Yom Kippur on September 21 and 22, “Have a Meaningful Fast”. Yom Kippur is probably the most important holiday of the Jewish year. Many Jews who do not observe any other Jewish custom will refrain from work, fast and/or attend synagogue services on this day. The name "Yom Kippur“means “Day of Atonement” and that pretty much explains what the holiday is. It is a day set aside to "afflict the soul," to atone for the sins of the past year. Yom Kippur is a complete Sabbath; no work can be performed on that day. It is a complete, 25-hour fast beginning before sunset on the evening before Yom Kippur and ending after nightfall on the day of Yom Kippur.

Happy Birthday To You! Sep. 22 – Mark Max Sep. 24 – Reverend John Moor Sep. 25 – Brian McGarry
