Olympic medallists, Greg Joy and his wife Sue Holloway, offered us a refreshing walk through their Olympic career, complete with actual footage of Greg's world record breaking jump in '78. Sue, who was the first women to compete in both winter and summer Olympics, (cross country skiing in Austria and kayaking in Montreal), stressed how proud they were to be part of such an incredible experience. Weeks before the Olympics, the energy, glory, power, and fear, help the athletes become one, as they compete for their country and give that extra little push that is needed to succeed. Extraordinary things can happen at such a thrilling time and the athletes need to know that we support them and thank them.
Derek’s Thought For the Week: How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in life, you will have been all of these.
