During the 2nd World War our Club had a War Services Committee, and the special events that were taken on included:
- assisting with organizing Blood Donor clinics
- collected and sent 827 books and 17,000 magazines to the troops
- provided cigarettes by auctioning off war savings stamps
- they sent two pianos which were paid for by our members, to the Petawawa military Camp and to the Flying Station at Uplands
- arranged for 4 concerts at Petawawa to entertain the troops in conjunction with our Entertainment Committee under the direction of the Chair, Robbie Robinson
