The Kiwanis Music Festival – National Capital Region unveils new brand identity

The Kiwanis Music Festival – National Capital Region unveiled a new brand identity today that represents a significant milestone in the organization!s history. 2010 will mark the festival!s 65th anniversary, which is being celebrated with a fresh, young look. “I hope this new look will reawaken everyone's interest, attracting more competitors and a larger audience. The Kiwanis Music Festival has been with us for 65 years and has never been more alive! ” said Gary D. Morton, Executive Director.

With a new logo, The Kiwanis Music Festival – National Capital Region will unify all its materials and collateral under a single brand identity. The festival, having completed Phase 1 of this three-part project will begin operating under its new brand immediately and hopes to finish Phases 2 and 3 in the coming year which will also include a new website. Cinnamon Toast New Media Inc. helped the Kiwanis Music Festival - Ncr define its brand around the organization!s mission and values highlighting the concepts of youth and music. The new brand will help to better position the festival within the artistic and academic community.

"I hope this fresh new look will tweak interest from our music teachers in the schools and in the community, as well as the young talent within our National Capital Region, to bring the Kiwanis Music Festival to yet a higher level," said Firma French, Lieutenant-Governor of Division 12 of the Kiwanis Eastern Canada & Caribbean District.

About the Kiwanis Music Festival – National Capital Region Each year, amazing young musicians, singers and musical theatre performers compete for prizes and scholarships in the Kiwanis Music Festival – National Capital Region, held during the month of April at 11 different venues in the City of Ottawa. In 2010, the festival will welcome over 10,000 performers, competing in 175 classes. Over $50,000 in scholarships will be awarded. Top performers move unto provincial and national competitions. Festival alumni include artists such as: Angela Hewitt, Daniel Taylor, Leah Cogan and Yannick Muriel Noah.
