KMF funds study on stuttering

The Kiwanis Medical Foundation today announced that it would be funding a study of the iCanSpeak system for people who stutter. The system has been developed by Kiwanian Jamie Johnson, and it has been tested on his son Andrew. The system runs on a PocketPC, and assists people who stutter to maintain fluency through a technical termed 'delayed auditory feedback'. iCanSpeak expects to start trials in late 2005 and will provide feedback to both the KMF and the Club on the results.
