“What a fun event for all of us volunteers! Thanks to the co-chairs for such an amazing job well done. This is a good event for our club because it helps to make our community more aware of Kiwanis and what we do. It gives us an opportunity volunteering at this event to talk to people about our club and how our club will spend the silent auction proceeds. People I found out last nite are really interested in how their proceeds are spent in their community.”
“Thank you to Dawn, the committee and all the volunteers who put in countless hours on behalf of KCO and the Silent Auction. Kudos go out to Dave, Bruno and Rita for organizing another very special event. The one thing I really enjoy each year about this fundraiser is the way our club comes together to somehow pull this off and make it so successful. It’s also an opportunity for all of us to see each other outside of a luncheon meeting working together to accomplish our goal and objective of raising monies for our children’s charities.”
“I wanted to also express my thanks and gratitude to you Dave, our committee and all the volunteers and donors that continue to help to make this event successful every year. Many thanks also to Lee Storm for continuously providing help when needed and those cash stands that we can't do without. Dawn, great job as always, organizing the volunteer crew.
I would also want to thank Rita for her continued help and hard work before, during and after the event. Special thanks to Tom Spence and Surgenor for being our major sponsor every year and making the event attractive and successful. Co-Chair Bruno DiChiara
Preliminary Results indicate 57% return on the Silent Auction 146 donated items resulting in sales of $31,398 ! and after expenses, net proceeds will be just under $26,000. A great success! These funds will assist our Community Services account to continue to support our sponsored youth and young children’s projects.
THANK YOU to the members who donated an item for the auction, or contacted your colleagues to obtain an item, or helped to set up and take down the tables. And thank you to the volunteers who worked at the Bon Appetit event, some of you staying the whole day. I was happy to work with such a great group of volunteers who worked very hard and once the action started, they kept these moving smoothly. Thank you to Staples staff for their good spirited support, as always! And to our Bon Appetit Committee, congratulations!
