Louise Logue on Street Drugs - The Truths

This session will focus on highlighting the truths about ilicit drugs and the negative impacts the ilicit drugs market has on our communities, including gang violence, guns and ultimately the justice system. 

Louise Logue specializes in working with ‘at-risk’ youth in a variety of settings, including psychiatric institutions; secure custody facilities, and police services. In 1986, Louise obtained a Certificate in Chemical Dependency Counseling and went on to develop and implement a Substance Abuse Treatment Program for incarcerated youth. Since then, she has developed numerous community-based programs with special emphasis on developing life-skills through social skills training.

Louise has studied in the fields of Mental Health, Functional Family Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Restructuring Treatment techniques.  Her studies in the field of Behavioral Pharmacology have resulted in her being qualified as a Drug Expert in the Superior Courts of Ontario and Quebec since 1991.
