Souper Singers and Friends! Only 43 days left until Christmas (can you believe it)?! Days are flying by and it is time to think about our 2010 Santa Souper Singers event in support of the Ottawa Food Bank on December 3rd.
Many of you are regular participants, and this event will be new to some of you. We collect pledges for the Food Bank from family, friends, and colleagues prior to Dec. 3rd and then sing carols at restaurants and bars collecting donations from the patrons. We don't have to be great singers, just enthusiastic.
Again this year we will be dedicating our evening in Memory of our good friend and Past President of Ottawa-Vanier Kiwanis, Gordon Pearson. He was the heart and enthusiam behind the ever-growing success of this event and we want to make this year's collections bigger and better than ever!
We're meeting at 5:00 p.m. at the Adult High School (300 Rochester) again this year. Attached is the pledge sheet for you to collect your pledges prior to the event. We will practise some songs, have some pizza and then take off on the bus to do the rounds of visiting our chosen locations and sing our carols. When we are finished, around 9 p.m. we come back to the school to count our proceeds and partake of some good cheer and prizes.
I am using an old email list of contacts but feel free to send to other family and friends. To reserve your seat on the bus, or if you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you can't join us on Dec. 3rd, your donations will be gratefully accepted by one of our Souper Singers--like me :) 'Tis the season to be jolly....hope to see you soon.
Secretary Linda and your friends at Ottawa-Vanier Kiwanis
