Kiwanis Christmas Basket Program

For the past 10 years our very own Angela Cummings has been spearheading a program to prepare and deliver Christmas Baskets to families in need within our community. The Direct Assistance Committee has been asked by Angela to assist this year and we are looking to make even more of an impact in the community. A donation of $75 will provide a basket of food to feed a family of 5 – there are many families in our region who need our help at this time of year. We are asking for your help in 2 possible ways. Ask your friends, family or corporations to make a donation to the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa – we will need a list of donors and full addresses along with their donation amount, to provide a charitable tax receipt. Please be aware 100% of the funds will go to this program. All donations must be confirmed by December 5th to provide time for us to arrange the baskets and all funds must be received by December 12th December 20th – we need volunteers to help deliver the spirit of Christmas to the families in need. We will meet on Saturday morning at the Food Basics at Hampton Park where boxes will be loaded into vehicles and delivered – To confirm your availability please send an email to Bill Gosewitz at with the headline – Christmas baskets.
