Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD) - Mile of Loonies/Toonies

The event took place on the Sparks Street Mall - 11:30 - 1:30 on August 13th. Double-sided tape was placed on the Mall from Elgin to Bank St. Donors were asked to place their loonies/toonies on the tape. Donations over $10.00 will receive an income tax receipt.

Club Members Bob Chiralli (Regional Chair), Jim Watson (Mayor of the City of Ottawa) and Marcia Saipe (President of the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa) placed the first toonies in the 1998 Mile of Toonies. Over $5,000 was raised for Kiwanis' International's World Wide Service Project, Iodine Deficiency Disorders
