Jan Mansfield Jan was sponsored into the Club on January 21, 2000 by Jamie Johnson and Lynda Campbell. Born in Halifax, Jan is the second of six children of Canadian Air Force General Ozzie Hardy. As a military brat, Jan spent her child-hood in various cities in Canada and the US. developing a love for travel. Jan completed her post secondary education in biology at Queen's and, prior to taking time off to raise her family, worked with Fischer Scientific.
Jan joined husband Michael at Westhill Office Products and, after selling it, acquired Mansfield and Rodney Printing in 1992, where she successfully manages the business. Michael moved on to the high tech industry and is now President of rebel.com.
Jan and Michael have three children and live near White Lake. Jan is very eager to work with the teens and has joined the Key Club Committee.
Phil Rossy Phil was sponsored into the Club on February 4, 2000 by Byron Martin and Steve Moore. Phil was born and raised in Ottawa and went to Hillcrest High School before attending St. Patrick's College. Phil has worked in the hospitality/ food industry throughout most of his career. He worked with Capital Foods, Air Canada, and owned a family operated food service operations business. Today, Phil is General Manager of the Days Inn Ottawa West in Bells Corners, and teaches at Algonquin College at the Hospitality Faculty.
Phil is married to Diane and they have three children. Being very willing to getting involved with our Club, Phil has joined the Programme Committee.
Aubrey de Young Aubrey was sponsored into the Club on February 11, 2000 by Larry Haffner and Hassa Mirchandani. Aubrey is a previous member of the Club who left in 1997 because of work pressures. His work has taken him to such places as Goose Bay and Guatemala. After retiring from the military, Aubrey worked at Canada Post, in real estate and with Serco. He recently launched his own logistics consulting business. In his spare time, Aubrey has contributed his expertise to the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa as well we for a variety of child service organizations. Aubrey recently married his wife Dana. Because of his previous experience in the military, Aubrey has joined the Air Cadets.
