CPR Program Successes

High School CPR Program Sandra Clarke, Executive Director of the ACT (Advanced Coronary Treatment) Foundation, explained at our Friday luncheon that the CPR Program is now mandatory in the Ontario curriculum, and with the Kiwanis Club's assistance to bring CPR to local area high schools in 1994, the Program is now expanding even more.

The ACT Foundation is now seeking Kiwanis partnership in every community. As of December 1999, over 40 Clubs in Ontario have expressed their commitment and now other clubs across Canada are seeing the benefits of making CPR a mandatory part of the high school curriculum. Our goal in 1994 was to have every student graduating in the year 2000 equipped with the knowledge of CPR. You did it! CONGRATULATIONS!!
