Christmas Luncheon for Seniors 2018

2018 will represent the 64th Christmas Luncheon for Seniors to be put on by the Club. Again this year it will be at the Good Companions Centre. With the help of the Centre, and chef Frank.. 125 Seniors will be in attendance, along with 25 volunteers including Kiwanians, family and friends for a wonderful meal, along with entertainment from Noel Dimar.

2017 Bed Race Results

With the race back on the Rideau Canal at Dows Lake, we had a cool windy day for racing. The event was able to raise over $35,000 for projects of the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa and the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation.

The race was one of our closest ever, with a virtual three way tie.

Luncheon Meeting - Cyril Leeder, Ottawa Senators

We relocated to Club Red at the Canadian Tire Centre hosted by Corporate Member the Ottawa Seantors, with Guest Speaker - Cyril Leeder, President of the Ottawa Senators Hockey Team in the National Hockey League and its corporation, the Senators Sports & Entertainment Corporation. 

Senators: 25 Years Later - A candid look forward by Ottawa Senators president, Cyril Leeder, on the plans for the hockey club over the next four years.  Cyril discussed building transformation, community initiatives, 25th anniversary and a possible outdoor game”.

The Peter's President's Rose was presented to Ian Peddie who is part of the team the heads corporate membership, and the team that organizes the Watch-it Shred-it day and the Xmas baskets.

Kiwanis Luncheon - Turnover Day - September 27, 2013

Turnover Day Luncheon - We said thank you to President Alison Hunter and the Board of Directors for leading the Club for 2012-13, and to welcomed President Peter Charboneau and the Board of Directors for 2013-14. Committee Chairs, Co-Chairs and Vice-Chairs were also recognized for their contribution and hard work this past year.

Christmas Dinner at Good Companions

The Direct Assistance Committee served their annual turkey dinner for seniors at the Good Companion Centre.

150 Xmas Baskets Prepared and Delivered

With the help of sponsors Shred-it, Algoma OrchardsCostco, and Ottawa Carleton Mortgage and their employees, and the some great help from students at Merivale High School, 150 Christmas baskets were prepared and delivered to families in the Ottawa area.
