We were honoured to host the visit of Kiwanis International President Brian Cunat and First Lady Miki from the Kiwanis Club of McHenry, Illinois and EC&C Governor Milton Peach and his wife Joan from Carbonear, Newfoundland.
Governor Milton Peach brought greetings from Eastern Canada and Caribbean District and presented President Richard with the World Wide Service Patch for the Iodine Deficiency Project for donations of $300 per member.
Mark Max and the Music Committee welcomed President Brian and the First Lady in the ususal musical manner of the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa.
The International President commended our club for its strong community committment and action, for our many projects over the years, for our promotion, development and sponsoring of so many Sponsored Youth groups - four Key Clubs, two Circle K's and co-sponsorship of the AKtion Club. He spoke to membership development, noting that our club must be doing something right, however, cautioning us at the same time, that as times change so too must our Club.
