Weekly Meeting - Sheila Copps

Sheila Copps, former Minister of Heritage, and former Deputy Prime Minister, spoke from the heart for the first time publicly, as she recapped the events of March 2004. She stressed that, even after working 'on the hill' for over 20 years, she believed in that 'eternal flame' and contributed to her political party wholeheartedly. When she lost her job on March 6th, her life changed drastically, and after devoting 27 years of her life to politics, she had to rethink her future. Writing her book gave her a chance to let go of a lot of frustration, which assisted with her healing. Healing takes time, and "When one door closes, another door opens"
