Family Christmas Party ?! - Did we have it?? Many members have asked since there was no write-up in the eDge because of the holiday season. Yes, on Sunday, December 16/07, when the weatherman told us that 25-30 centimeters of snow was coming, and to stay off the streets unless necessary, we had a great Family Christmas Party!! We confirmed that Dominic D’Arcy was going to be there, the Fairmont Chateau Laurier was ready, and nothing could keep Santa away. We were happy to have almost a full turnout of 142 in attendance including 25 members and 117 guests – the 61 children under 12 kept everybody hopping! Thanks to the Key Club students who dressed as elves and helped to supervise the children, a great big thank you to Grant Yusak who provided wonderful loot bags based on the ages of the children, and another big thank you to Griffin Yusak, Grant’s son, who helped select the items to fill the loot bags, then helped to pass them out. A great team! “One of the best Christmas parties” said a newcomer and they’ll be back next year!
