David Bradley spoke from the heart explaining that, at one time or another, everything we have was probably on a truck somewhere. The trucking industry is a major industry with $40 billion in revenue yearly and strength in service, particularly if not time sensitive. He explained that when heavy trucks and tractor trailers are in an accident 80% of the time it is not due to driver error and accidents are down 20% over 5 years. The industry continues to research for ways to reduce emittents that have a direct effect on the public. Another priority is to alleviate the problems at the border, with one truck crossing the US border every 2.5 seconds, and they expect this to double in next 5 years.
