The Silent Auction at Bon Appetit!

On Tuesday, March 8, 2001 at the Aberdeen Pavilion in Lansdowne Park between 5:30 PM and 9:00 PM, the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa is proud to present our 3rd Annual Bon Appetit Silent Auction Event. This year's estimated attendance is anticipated to be just over 2000 people, which will be another sell out year.

Bon Appetit Ottawa http://www.bonappetitottawa.ca/ is a wonderful evening of fine foods, wine and beer samplings sponsored by the Ottawa/Hull Hospitality Industry. More than 80 of the National Capital Region's finest restaurants, hotels, caterers, wineries, breweries and suppliers come together to offer their gourmet specialties and raise funds for local charities. There will also be live entertainment again this year featuring Johnny Vegas and Dianne White.

Last year Bon Appetit Ottawa raised over $140,000 for local charities including the food bank, the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa, Champions for Children Foun-dation of Ottawa, and the Snowsuit Fund, to name a few.

The Kiwanis Club of Ottawa is proud to be reunited with Bon Appetit Ottawa and will put on for the third year a fabulous Silent Auction featuring a 60- inch big screen television, home electronics, furniture, artwork, Jewellery, Travel packages and quality local services and gift certificates to many local restaurants. Everyone will have an opportunity to view all items during the event and silently place bids on items of interest. This event has become a premier event in Ottawa and is always guaranteed to be a fun filled evening.

Last year the Bon Appetit Kiwanis Silent Auction raised $55,000 for the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa. I would like to urge all mem-bers of the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa to donate an item or ask someone you know to donate an item of $200 or more for our Silent Auction. Items of less value are also accepted such as gift certificates for Restaurants or Movies and will be packaged together with other items to total $200 value. Last year there were approximately 200 items up for auction. This year we would like to have 300 items to make our event an even better success. To donate an item please contact Bob St.Louis Silent Auction Committee Chair or to order tickets, contact Tom Spence at 741-0741. Tickets are $60 each before April 30th and $75 after. A tax receipt will be issued for each ticket sold for $35.

Thank you for your support.
