The Kiwanis Lottery for Kids

October 31, 1998 – The Rideau Centre and the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa are pleased to announce the conclusion of a jointly sponsored fundraising lottery.

The Lottery concluded with a draw at the Rideau Centre at 3:00 p.m. on October 31, 1998. . All funds raised will support Kiwanis initiatives that assist children and youth in the Ottawa-Carleton region including the Reading is Fundamental program and the Never Shake a Baby educational video http://shakenbaby.ottawakiwanis.org.

Kiwanis Club of Ottawa President Ian Hendry congratulates chairperson Pat Charbonneau for his great work on the lottery as Max Keeping and David Thompson prepare to draw the winning tickets.  

Max Keeping, News Anchor at CJOH TV presided over the draw Ticket # 03096 - Blair Meyers Sunfire Coupe or Sedan (winner’s choice) 36 month/60,000 km lease including freight, security deposit, dealer preparation and applicable taxes, courtesy of Turpin Pontiac, Buick, GMC. Licensing and insurance is winner’s responsibility. Approximate retail value: $11,100.

Ticket # 00253 - Bill Langdon European style kitchen cabinets including design service and installation, courtesy of Claudel Kitchens. Approximate retail value: $7,000.

Ticket # 06087 - Tony Primzo Ski trip for two, including airfare, ground transportation, lodging and lift tickets to Whistler-Blackcomb, courtesy of Whistler-Blackcomb and Powder Resort Properties, Intrawest/Mont Ste Marie and Air Canada. Certain restrictions apply. Approximate retail value: $3,986.

Ticket # 04637 - H. Metcalfe Merchandise certificate from Jubilee Fine Jewellers towards the purchase of any regular priced jewelry, courtesy of Jubilee Fine Jewellers, 3rd floor, Rideau Centre. Approximate retail value: $2,500.

Ticket # 02629 - Shirly Caderre Ultimate Cable package for five (5) years, including installation if necessary, courtesy of Rogers Cable. Approximate retail value: $2,400.
