Tag Day raises $4,500

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank, on behalf of Mike St. Louis (Kiwanis Chair), Capt Burniston, and myself, all the Cadets and parents who came out on Saturday and helped with Tag Day. A little over $4,500 was raised! Fantastic job! Well done!!

This money goes directly towards the running of the Squadron, paying for such things as transportation, bush weekends, our training location (the school!). Important things! and it was great to see such high participation for this very important event in the Cadet year.

On the subject of fundraising, our annual Regal fundraising event will kick off this Wednesday, 6 Oct, and run for two weeks. Order forms are to be returned by 20 Oct. The money raised from this event will go towards the purchase of "extra-curricular" products, such as Cadet hoodies, recruit T-shirts, etc, that are not a part of the core running of the Squadron. Regal products are functional, practical, exceptional quality and good value for money. We encourage safe selling, NO door-to-door sales! Parents/Guardians, we need you to help by selling to friends, relatives and co-workers. Without your help we will not meet our sales goal of $6,000! (We did it last year, we can do it again!) Order forms accompanied by cheque(s)/cash must be returned by Oct 20th and products will be available for pick-up shortly thereafter. Cheques should be made payable to “211 Air Cadet P.S.G.”.

As a heads-up, we did experience some delays regarding personalized items during last year's fall fundraiser. If you are ordering something personalized, I will do my best to make sure it is here in time for Christmas (shouldn't be too much of a problem since it's so early in the year). My apologies for the French order forms - they ran out of English ones! - but the example should make it fairly clear and if you have any questions, my contact info is below.

We appreciate your support and are looking forward to our first successful fundraising campaign and a successful 2004-05 Cadet year.
