The Stars of the City is a program organized by Tourisme Ottawa Tourism, which aims to recognize, motivate, and educate our region's front line staff - the face of tourism. They invited nominations for people who have gone above the call of duty. Jamie was nominated for his volunteer work with different Kiwanis clubs, Kiwanis Idol, Children at Risk, Canadian Paraplegic Association, RA Centre Photo Club, 211 Air Cadets, website and computer time at public schools, and countless hours of advice and support offered to business associates and friends, and more.
Jamie's name will be listed as a nominee and he will be recognized at the Stars of the City Recognition Evening, a 5-star event generously hosted by Algonquin College's School of Hospitality & Tourism. The finalists have already been selected. President Bill has purchased a table for 8 (tickets are $35 each, first come, first served.) Past President Neil McDonald, VP Guy Bourbonnière, and Jamie and Laura Johnson, will be sitting at the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa table for 8 (5 confirmed).
