The Kiwanis Club of Ottawa will be joining forces again this year with Bon Appetit Ottawa http://www.bonappetitottawa.ca, the outstanding annual gourmet food and wine extravaganza.
This year's event will take place at Lansdowne Park in the Aberdeen Pavilion, on Tuesday, May 8 th , 2001 from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Bon Appetit Ottawa! secures yearly sponsorship from the Hospitality Industry of the National Capital Region. The proceeds benefit a wide range of worthy local charities including the Ottawa Food Bank, The Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa-Carleton, Champions for Children Foundation of Ottawa-Carleton, and the SnowSuit Fund, to name a few.
The second component of the Bon Appetit event is the Kiwanis Silent Auction http://2001auction.ottawakiwanis.org, which takes place during Bon Appetit festivities. Last year's Silent Auction raised over $53,000 for the club and this year's auction will be even bigger than ever with your continued support.
Bon Appetit Ottawa! is a fabulous event and a value packed evening of fun with over 80 of the best restaurants, hotels, wineries and breweries tantalizing your palates with their culinary delights. Tickets are available for $60.00 in advance or $75.00 at the door, (a $35.00 tax receipt will be issued per ticket purchased.) We anticipate another sell out crowd this year so we would recommend purchasing your tickets in advance.
For ticket information please call Tom Spence at 741-0741 or if you have an item to donate or a cash donation for sponsor recognition contact Bob St. Louis, Chair, Bon Appetit Silent Auction Committee at 824-3300 ext. 25.
This is a wonderful social event as well as a major fundraiser for the club. So bring along your friends, family, employees, and business associates. Your support again this year would be appreciated. Hope to see you there this year!
Yours in Kiwanis, Ed Healey, President Kiwanis Club of Ottawa
