President's Rose to Sheri Farahani and Steve Tanner

In 2001 Steve Tanner sponsored a HUGE Breath of Fresh Air into our beloved Kiwanis Club of Ottawa by the name of Sheri Farahani.

In a matter of months, Sheri has personally met most of the Club members at Friday lunches and now I have this opportunity to thank you Sheri, for your enthusiasm, your resourcefulness, your engaging personal style, and your wonderful attitude to all the Kiwanis projects you involved yourself in. You have been EVERYWHERE: helping at Oktoberfest, Bon Appetite, Interclub Sports and Social and a social evening at the Cordon Bleu to name a few.

Although we tease you about being a new member, Sheri, today I suppose, you are definitely more seasoned as you join hundreds of hardworking Kiwanians who over the past 85 years have received the President's rose; people like the famed Ed Mulkins.

I think it appropriate to be presenting you with the rose today with the topic of our guest speaker, Dr. Worton. If we could 'Clone" members like you, our membership would be forever strong. Thank you Sheri, for your active participation, your positive attitude and your Vogue Magazine smile. On behalf of President Richard, please accept, with my congratulations, this week's President's rose.
