The President’s Rose President Alison honoured Lynda Campbell, she who works so hard as Chair of our Program Committee and strives to make a difference in the lives of others.
Lynda was introduced to our club in 1993 by former member Bill Cowie. She immediately became part of the Duck Race and Membership Committees, and was happy to coordinate the 100 or so volunteers required for Duck Race Day. She is a former Chair of the Senior Citizens Committee, and helped out at the Seniors’ Annual Tea, acting as one of the hosts for our 400 or so Senior guests.
As Vice-Chair of the Ways and Means Committee in 2003, she contributed to the development of the Max Keeping Roast .
Lynda has volunteered for almost all of our events; including the coordination of items for the Bon Appetit Silent Auction, preparation of the food for our hands-on project at Camp Smitty, and, the Charity Golf Tournament registration and Silent Auction.
She was Honorary Secretary of the Board of Directors in 2000 and she served as a Director on the Board for in 2011-12.
This year, she agreed to Chair the Programme Committee, for the 4th consecutive year. Lynda spends hundreds of hours coordinating this very active committee and securing guest speakers, and because of her leadership, we have had a tremendous line up of speakers and programs.
Lynda is professional and courteous, and gets the work done. She comes through for all of our committee projects, with the same commitment and enthusiasm.
Thank you, Lynda, for your dedication and loyalty to our Club, and for Making A Difference, with your community work.
