Precious Minds Read-a-thon launches are Regina Street Public School

With the whole school in attendance, Regina Street Public School launched the Kiwanis Precious Minds Read-a-thon.

Mr. Perk's dog Blue introduced the idea of the book swap and got the ideas of the reading being fun was started. Many students brought in books that they could swap with others in the school.

MP Marlene Catterall reinforced both the fun of reading with her recollections of her favourite books from her yourth. With 240 students, she challenged the students to reach for a target of 3000 books. Each book will be recorded on the book worm in the school's front hall.
