“One Can Make a Difference” – President’s Rose – Frank Hegyi

Frank was introduced to our club in 1994, after 22 years with the Kiwanis Club of Gordon Head, in Victoria, Bc. During his time there, Frank served as President, Lt. Governor of their division, Circle K Administrator and was elected as Kiwanis International District Governor of the Pacific North-West District for 1990-91. His extensive experience working with Circle K helped in the revitalization and restructuring of the Circle K Clubs in the Ottawa area. He also loves to cook and with his wife Rose, put on a Hungarian Dinner Feast for our Interclub Sports & Social Committee on January 26. Unfortunately, his home could not fit every member of the Club. Frank is a published author of many technical manuals and is currently involved in writing another very special book. A prostate cancer survivor, Frank is working with Max Keeping & Jackie Holzman to provide hope and moral support in a reference book for those that are newly diagnosed. You will hear more about this at our March 14 luncheon meeting. Frank’s leadership, assistance to our Club and to the sponsored youth of Kiwanis continues to Make a Difference!
