One Can Make A Difference – President’s Rose - Francois Cronier

Francios was introduced to our Club in November 2008, by President Peter. He asked where he could best serve the community and it was suggested that he join our Community Services Committee. At these committee meetings, Francois learned that there are many families in this city that are very dependent on the assistance of service clubs like ours. Francois is a perfect fit for this committee. He participates in their discussions and follows up on the requests he is assigned. He also presented an idea to the committee that will benefit our soldiers in Afghanistan, with quilts made just for them by Quilts of Valour, and with the Kiwanis ‘ name being recognized on the quilt. Good thinking, Francois! Francois also joined our Silent Auction Committee for Bon Appetit and attended almost every meeting, he contacted his network and obtained items for the event, and he worked the event. As equally important as his contribution to our club projects, Francois is having Fun and making new friends. For our New Members’ Luncheon held in March, he was not hesitant to put on a dress to play his part as Mary Wanna, even though he never shaved his legs, And he danced around the room, singing French songs, flirting with the likes of George Perrin! You are a welcome addition to our club, Francois, one who Can Make A Difference!
