One Can Make A Difference – President’s Rose - Dave Donaldson

Dave is the Executive Dean at Algonquin College, was introduced to our club in March 2008, by Past Presidents Tom Pullen and Tom Beveridge. He is one of the Corporate Members, alongside Kent MacDonald, from Algonquin College - our first Corporate Membership. Dave made a promise to himself that he would attend at least one meeting per month, and he has done so much more. He was a very active member of our Silent Auction Committee, acting as the liaison between our committee and the Bon Appetit Ottawa committee, and he attended all our committee meetings as well. He was a big help to Phil Rossy and Bruno DiChiara, and, even provided a volunteer from his own assistant to help our office the day before the event. Thank you, Ginette Belair! He personally arranged for donations of items, and he followed up and often delivered them to our office. He also worked the event, and helped to deliver supplies and items back to the Kiwanis office when we finished cleaning up after the event at 11:30 at night. We were pleased when he offered the Restaurant International at Algonquin’s School of Hospitality and Tourism, for one of our luncheons, and introduced us to the culinary students. Dave, we are very pleased that you are enjoying your association with Kiwanis, and we look forward to a long relationship with Algonquin College. You are a welcome addition to our club, one who Can Make A Difference!
