Bob was introduced to our club in 2000 by Les Morin, as Les recognized Bob as a super guy and thought he would be a good addition to our club. He was right. A member of the Kiwanis Medical Foundation Committee since 2003, as well as a Trustee, he provides valuable input on their discussions. As a former Co-Chair of the Seniors/Hands-On Committee, Bob works at the Mayor’s Canada Day Breakfast for Seniors every year and also volunteers his wife Suzan, to serve a very early breakfast to 4,000 Seniors, on what would normally be a holiday. He also volunteers every year to serve lunch at our Seniors Christmas Party, definitely a personal sacrifice when you have a spouse and 2 young daughters at home. He is part of the Hands-On gang that volunteers to help out at Camp Smitty and last year he worked very hard transporting what seemed like millions of logs from one location to another. As Honorary Secretary/Treasurer on our Board of Directors this year, he quickly jumped in for our year-end and Budget preparations. This is a very unique business, so you can imagine the different aspects of our accounting, which requires a lot of early morning meetings, and Bob is there for every one. He is usually very quiet and you may even get a little snicker out of him. But, most important, he is an excellent Kiwanian, and he helping us to show that One Can Make A Difference.
