Hans Moor - President Citizens for Safe Cycling - Senior Economic Officer, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands - Writer/Blogger
Hans Moor was born in the Netherlands and moved to Canada in 1998 and is also President of Citizens for Safe Cycling, a local cycling advocacy group that works closely together with the National Capital Commission, Ottawa City Councillors and city staff. An expert cyclist himself, he has talked to audiences across Canada and advised the Canadian Automobile Association and Members of Parliament on cycling matters. He have given lectures and presentations about topics such as community building, product development and the economics of cycling.
Hans will speak about cycling in the Netherlands, and Citizens for Safe Cycling's efforts in Ottawa and what we can learn from the Netherlands and Ottawa. Hans will show that cycling is not only about enjoying a slower pace of life, but evenmore a remedy against increasing health and infrastructure cost.
