Kiwanis Luncheon - Mike Sutherland - Voice of the RedBlacks interviews Ettore Lattanzio

Mike Sutherland, former CFLer and voice of the Ottawa REDBLACKS gave us on on-site interview with defensive lineman Ettore Lattanzio.

ET didn’t like soccer, but he loved football in high school and later with the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees. He was more than happy to play for his hometown Ottawa with the REDBLACKS and still can't believe it's not a dream.  Weighing in at 260lbs at 6ft he is still the smallest guy on the team.  His dad was his best trainer resulting in his ability to now do 35 reps lifting 225lbs!  The benefits of proper training and good protection for the players means they will have a better chance of a good life after football.

Former Ottawa Rough Rider, Tom Pullen, who played 7 seasons for the CFL and was a member of four Grey Cup championship teams, agrees that there is greater quality in the teams now, with good training, better facilities, the calibre of the football league, and the opportunity to work in better conditions, which all add up to a game that is incredible to watch!

Go REDBLACKS!
