Bequests

A bequest to a charitable organization becomes a final contribution to the community inrecognition of a life well lived. Several features make bequests attractive: It lasts forever.

The bequest is pooled with other capital funds for investment. The annual earnings go back to the community. It is flexible to the benefactor's wishes. The bequest can either be directed toward a specific community service or unrestricted, under the direction of the Kiwanis Board of Directors,to meet immediate priorities. The funds bear the donor's name forever.

The permanent fund emanating from the bequest will be set up within Kiwanis in the benefactor's name (or that of the family)as an enduring tribute to his or her generosity.Alternatively, the will may specify a name to be attached to the fund or respect a request for anonymity.
