Christmas Luncheon for Seniors

The Club has been running a Christmas luncheon for seniors going back to meals at the Kiwanian Alex Dayton Centre for more than 30 years. This year's dinner at the Good Companions included a turkey meal and a visit from Santa Claus.

You can help feed a family of 4 for a week, for only $75. 

Each year the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa begins with a Watch-it Shred-it day to raise funds, and the target is to provide food to 180 families in the Ottawa area. You can help with an online donation and get a tax receipt for your donation.

100% of the funds will go to our Christmas Food Basket program.  All donations must be received by December 15th to provide time for us to arrange the baskets.

Kiwanis Luncheon - Jim Watson - Ottawa 2017

Our own member Mayor Jim Watson will speak about the plans for 2017 and the signature events that will be once-in-a-lifetime experiences. They are planning a year-long calendar of all-new events and celebrations that will make Canada’s 150th in Ottawa an unforgettable experience for all. 

Meeting at Rideau Tennis Club, 1 Donald Street, Ottawa.  Free parking. You can also park at Strathcona Park and walk over the footbridge.

Kiwanis Luncheon - Lieutenant-General Chris Whitecross

A member of the Canadian Forces since 1982, Lt. General Whitecross joined the Canadian Military Engineers after spending 4 years in the Cadet program.  Her postings have taken her from Germany to almost every province in Canada and she is the former Chief Military Engineer of the Canadian Forces at National Defence Headquarters.  She is a recipient of the Order of Military Merit and was awarded the US Defense Meritorious Service Medal for her service in Kabul, Afghanistan.  Currently, she is the Commander of the Canadian Forces Strategic Response Team on Sexual Misconduct.

This is our Remembrance Day Luncheon and we will be joined by our Kiwianis 211 Air Cadets Colour Party and their band.

Invite a Veteran to join us as we will be recognizing them for their service to our country
